All my life I have had friends of all sizes. My friends who had 'more to love' always complained that when they would look at plus size catalogs, they couldn't order because the models were skinny. They didn't have a clue how the clothes would look on their bodies.
In addition to how my friends felt, I learned that in the world of fashion, a plus size model starts at size 14. This to me is just plain odd. If the 'average' woman's size is 12 or 14, then why would a woman who is size 14 be a 'plus size' model? Most average size stores sell from size 2-14, while plus size stores are 16 and up. Well, we all know the answer to this - our average size models in the United States are 00 - 4. The camera adds weight and the goal is to sell more products.
